Are you interested in getting more from your plot of soil in the city? Yard, p-patch, or guerrilla spot? Join the conversations in a newly forming URBAN CSA Workers Cooperative. After the planning stages, commitment levels start at a minimum of 4 hours a week working in a plot of land, harvest, sorting, or distributing worker shares.
The idea is that by joining forces, coordinating planting and harvesting, cooperatively managing resources, a ‘worker cooperative’ can begin meeting the needs of its worker/members as well as invest any profits from sales (of subscriptions or goods) back into the organization to further this goal.
The workers cooperative model is an organizational structure democratically controlled and managed by its members for the purpose of providing a living (in our case outputs from organic farming in urban plots).
